ADHD Diagnosis – Who Benefits?

ADHD diagnosis is valuable for adults experiencing lifelong difficulties with attention, organization, impulsivity, or inner restlessness since childhood or adolescence. Common reports include forgetfulness, procrastination, emotional overwhelm, rapid exhaustion, or feeling "constantly on edge."[conversation_history]

Women with ADHD often go undiagnosed longer, showing less external hyperactivity and more internal restlessness, perfectionism, self-doubt, or emotional sensitivity. Many compensate or mask symptoms through adaptation, leading to late recognition, chronic stress, or burnout.

ASD Diagnosis – Who Benefits?

ASD diagnosis helps those feeling different in social interactions, struggling with unspoken rules, or exhausted after social situations. Typical traits include need for structure, intense special interests, sensory sensitivities (e.g., noise, light), and social communication challenges.[conversation_history]

Women on the autism spectrum are frequently overlooked, appearing well-adjusted by observing and mimicking others, masking traits over years. This causes inner tension, identity uncertainty, anxiety, or burnout despite outward normalcy.

Diagnostic Process

  • Initial Interview (Anamnesis): Detailed discussion of development, current challenges, social environment, and comorbidities.

  • Documents & Questionnaires: Complete forms (including for relatives knowing your childhood), return with old school reports if available.

  • Diagnostic Interview: Standardized testing exploring ADHD/ASD symptoms in life context.

  • Feedback Session: Explain results, recommend therapy if needed, provide written summary.

Additional mental health symptoms are screened to avoid missing comorbidities. Follows S3 guidelines for evidence-based, adaptable process.

Duration, Costs, and Contact

Expect 3 sessions for ADHD (1session in-person);

4 sessions for ASD (2sessions in-person).

Costs per Psychotherapists Fee Schedule (GOP); insurance may cover via approval for statutorily insured in therapy context.[conversation_history]
Book via Calendly, email or contact form. Data handled confidentially per privacy laws.

For ADHD, AuDHD, ASD, and the neurodivergent spectrum, a precise psychotherapeutic diagnosis within behavioral therapy often provides those affected with a new perspective on their life journey and emotional distress so far. These therapeutic approaches are not only crucial for gaining a better understanding of personal challenges but also essential for developing effective coping strategies. By exchanging ideas and receiving support from qualified professionals, individuals can learn to recognize and utilize their abilities and strengths. Additionally, a specialized diagnosis opens the door to early therapeutic interventions tailored to individual needs, sustainably improving quality of life.

Finally, certainty with a confirmed diagnosis
